Hi Mommas and Papas…

I can’t believe it….another month has gone by and now its the end of 2010! Where did the time go? It seems that a couple of you are having new babies VERY soon (a few, their second) and I feel like you just announced it…time is flying!

Don’t forget, we will be offering our new variety cover package next month check out the November newsletter for details…

I am also working on getting our diapers tested regularly…I sent our samples in November and will be doing the same for December…results will be posted once the page is up…keeps your eyes peeled…

REMINDER: PLEASE do not dunk your diapers…several bags were SUPER heavy these last week(s)…if you need extra bags lmk…I can leave extra bags but I cannot guarantee that I can carry the “LOAD” you are leaving me! HAHA

Mothers in the Middle @ St. Mary’s in Troy

Hi All!! I wanted to extend to you an invitation to attend the Mothers in the Middle at St. Mary’s in Troy on November 29, 2010. It is being held at 6p…and Sonrise will be there doing short demonstrations and giving out cloth diapering information! It would be great to see some of you there and remember if your friends/family are interested please send them along! There will be tours of the Childbirth Center at Seton Health also! Thanks to Michelle for inviting us to this event!

New DROP Bags – SOOO excited about these bags…they are re-usable! I was really having guilt about the clear drop-off bags and that prompted me to find these beautiful bags! I’d love to get them locally but for now they come from MA. You still use the white bags as a diaper pail liner and THEN put those inside these bags because they are NOT WATERPROOF and I still use my personal van for pickup/deliveries. Still working on getting rid of those awful PLASTIC white bags…I’ll keep you all posted…

Winner(s) of the “Cutest Baby in Cloth” are…dooh dooh doooooh…A TIE! The Downey twins from Niskayuna, NY won the cover (2 weeks of service FREE) and Ms. Ceniceros-Bush from Troy, NY won the inside (1 week of service FREE)…we couldn’t decide and there were four of us deciding!

STARTING in JANUARY 2011 we will be offering an additional COVER package (per customer request!)…a variety pack of 6 different covers. You’ll get 1 Bummis SWW, 1 Bummis Superbrite, 1 Bummis Original, 1 Bumkins (new style), 1 Polar Babies Fleece and 1 Thirsties. This way you can try them all and decide what you like and see what fits YOUR baby! The cover sizes must all be the same and you get to choose the color/print based on what’s in stock. $67.45 (savings of $9.00-that’s $1.50 savings per cover!)

Another offering…for the Moms who want to wash their own…the new BASIC WASH MY OWN package (available in Newborn or Infant sizing)…2 covers (Bummis, Prorap or Thirsties) and 1 dozen 100% cotton prefolds. Newborn price = $30.00, Infant price $36.00. I’m also looking into adding a detergent (AMAZING detergent I might add) to this package…I’ll keep you posted…

CORRECTION…Cutest baby in cloth contest…

I just realized that the cut off date was incorrect…it is OCTOBER 15th…only two more days!! Remember you can win 2 weeks of FREE diaper service ($50 value)…not bad for taking a quick picture!! October Newsletter

A chill in the air…and the leaves are falling…a warm mug o’cider…mmm…

I can’t believe that its OCTOBER! All our outside events are completed, the air is getting cold and THANK GOD the humidity is gone! Apple picking, pumpkins and hot drinks…WHEW hew…my favorite time of year.

Going’s on here at Sonrise…

We are introducing our new laundry bags this week…look for them holding your clean fluff this week…there is an important note attached too…

We now stock a concentrated butt wash solution. It is the same solution as the foaming pump bottle but it makes 3-4 bottles of butt wash in the foaming bottle…sells for $15…so keep your foaming bottle and get the concentrate to refill it! REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!

We also stock Butterbears One-size diaper covers. Locally-made right here in Ballston Spa/Corinth New York! Contact me for more information! Although the COVERS are not listed on her site…I can send along more info to you specifically if you are interested in one/several. Bonnie is pregnant with twins so she’s got a lot on her plate!

We are finalizing the catalog of “Fancy Pants” this month so look for it on the site soon! If you want a pdf version I can email it to you just let me know!

We are extending our deadline for the cutest baby in cloth pictures…KEEP SENDING them in…we will pick a winner at the end of October…deadline for photo entries is September 20, 2010. Be sure you can see a cloth diaper in the picture..that’s the whole point!

September Newsletter – Ahhhh AUTUMN…

Hi Moms and Dads…so I know its the 7th BUT I have so much going on that this just HAD to be late…sorry

I really don’t have much to say this month…riiiiiight…

First I would like to extend a HUGE THANK YOU to all of you that attended our Birthday Bash! I had a really nice time putting this event together and making it special for those that could attend…CAKE was amazing…pictures were SUPER cute…and I don’t know about you but I loved the goodie bag…I know I’m SUPER crunchy …

I would also like to thank Tumbling Tykes for hosting us (and helping setup/cleanup!), The Buttercream Bakery for donating the cake, Katie at iSmile for taking some really cute pix of you and you little ones and my kids WHO NEVER SMILE (YEAH FOR KATIE!), for Erin and Bonnie who took time out from their busy schedules to hang out for the day to talk to you all and share their businesses…great women all around! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!

I will also be the judge (I might enlist Danielle for this one too!). Entries must be received by September 31st, 2010. We are looking for a new baby for our brochure cover and rather than allow my “baby” to get all of the spotlight I thought it would be fun to get you all into it too PLUS there is a PRIZE  valued at $50 for you too!

August Newsletter-FINALLY!

Hello All…So here we are in August, summer is slowly leaving us but not to be forgotten are the HOT days of summer this year, PHEW. I am working on A LOT of things that will come to fruition this month and I am SUPER excited about them all…here’s the update…

First, our Birthday Bash is coming up on August 21, 2010 @ 10a. Gracefully being hosted by Stacy at Tumbling Tykes. We will have a GREAT goodie bag for every customer (past and present) that attends, we (I’m hoping) will have a short infant massage seminar/class for you all, also attending will be Erin (Earthly Remedies by Erin) and Bonnie (My Butterbears) to talk about their products and answer any questions that you may have. Also, we will be giving away a beautiful bag by Miche Bags. These bags are AWESOME for those of you that don’t know…this particular bag can double as a diaper bag without the “look” of a diaper bag. This is what it looks like…

In addition, we will have a full spread of food (sandwiches and salads) and a cake being donated by a wonderful woman named Jaime Zalucky, Owner of The Buttercream Bakery…mmm…cake… She was also talking about cookies..??? Mmmmmm…cookies…

I am really looking forward to getting all the cloth families together to chat about what works and what doesn’t and how to get OVERNIGHT CLOTH TO WORK for everyone!! This is the big question right now…several families are having difficulties so bring your knowledge ladies (and gents)!

On the same day is our MeetnGreet…from 1-3p @ Tumbling Tykes…this is for people that want to check out cloth and how it works…essentially a public demonstration of cloth diapering, how it works, what it costs and they get to meet ME! haha! We will also have coupons for folks and a giveaway for everyone that comes by! So if you have friends that think you are nutz for CD’ing send ‘em my way…I’ll show ‘em what its all about.

Second, we are adding to our educational demonstrations this month…we will be at The Honest Weight Food Coop on August 22 @ 10a. Two classes are being held, Cloth for Mom and Baby AND How to become a non-disposable family (focus will be on Back to School lunches). These are both free seminars being taught by Yours Truly . Come by and see what you may be missing…

Third, we will be attending the Albany Baby Event (www.albanybabyevent.com) in CP/Halfmoon on September 19, 2010 and also attending the Harvest Festival in Washington Park on the same date…NO I can’t be in two places at once…silly kids! I can however get Danielle to ‘stand in’ for me in Albany! YEAH!! She is the one that is responsible for all the beautiful media that surrounds Sonrise!! LOVE HER!!

A few more things will be going on in September but I’ll hold the deets until they are set in stone…(pssst…we got into St. Peter’s Hospital and we’ll be doing Cloth Diapering 101 classes for the pregnant/new Moms YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAH! September 28, 2010 @ 630p…watch Facebook for updates!)…ahem…thank you Kathleen and Debbie C…
